【Pharmacology】Methionine iodine is a bactericidal drug. This product releases free molecular iodine to kill microorganisms in water. Iodine has a powerful bactericidal effect and can also kill bacterial spores, fungi, viruses, and protozoa. Iodine mainly acts in the form of a molecule (I2). The principle may be that the active genes of the bacterial protein are iodinated and oxidized, and combined with the amino group of the protein to cause protein denaturation. Since iodine is difficult to dissolve in water, it is not easily hydrolyzed in water to form iodic acid. The bactericidal components in the iodine aqueous solution are elemental iodine (I2), triiodide ion (I3-) and hypoiodic acid (HIO). Among them, the amount of HIO is small, but the bactericidal effect is stronger.

    Iodine has very little solubility in water and is volatile, but when iodide is present, soluble triiodine compounds are formed, which increases the solubility of iodine by hundreds of times and reduces its volatility. Therefore, when preparing an iodine solution, an appropriate amount of potassium iodide is often added to promote the dissolution of iodine in water.

【Function and use】Disinfectant.

(2) Used for surface disinfection of water bodies, prawns and fish.

(3) Used for disinfection of livestock and poultry stables.

【Usage and Dosage】Based on this product.

(1) Disinfection of water body: 60-100mg per 1m3 of water body, diluted 1000 times and splashed into the whole pond.

(2) Body surface disinfection: per 1L of water, shrimp 6mg; fish 1mg, acting for 20 minutes.

(3) Disinfection of livestock and poultry stables: spray after dilution 500 times.

[Adverse reactions] According to the prescribed usage and dosage, no adverse reactions have been seen.

[Precautions] Do not use it with strong reducing agents such as vitamin C.
